"I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly." John 10: 10
What is it to be fully alive
abundantly so?
To feel it buzzing at every end
of every finger, so full
that we wonder where our boundary is.
To find that our feet are free
to stay or go, from the anger
or praise for which we dread and lust.
To touch a moment and rest
weighing its feel and drinking deep
of every dimension.
To see, to really see what is there
without fear of threat
to the paper-thin homes we build.
To know and to know and know
in our bones that we are held
so jealously and light.
Fully alive? That is the path
we tread until these things are
as welded to us as our skin.
